Always fresh, despite the long journey

The drinking water of the Landeswasserversorgung needs to travel a long way before getting to the consumer. From the Langenau Waterworks, across the Swabian Alps, all the way to Stuttgart takes roughly one day. The approximately 790 km-long piping network and the 33 water reservoirs of the LW are inspected and maintained on a continual basis. Today, most of this is carried out automatically and by remote control. Large pumps ensure the necessary power supply.

The central control room in the Langenau Waterworks is manned 24-hours a day.
